We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of:

PLANT LABORER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Summary:  Performs a variety of tasks related to plant set-up, maintenance, and operation; assists in maintenance of haul roads, equipment moves, stockpile maintenance, and loading of aggregate production material. Operates a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles utilized in plant operations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:

• Ensure a safe work environment by complying with all safety policies and procedures, while using the appropriate tools, equipment, and PPE for the task
• Follow all OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Follow directions of supervisor regarding daily tasks and expectations for each specific project
• Assist with maintaining organization and safe operation of yard or plant
• Operate various types of equipment and vehicles, including but not limited to, pickup truck, loader, skidsteer, hydraulic lift, and forklift
• Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies
• Assist with maintenance on plant equipment as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Prior experience operating heavy industrial/construction equipment preferred
• Prior experience working in a quarry, sand/gravel, and/or similar aggregate production operation preferred
• MSHA certification preferred
• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions and loud noises
• Some exposure to fumes or airborne particles, including aggregate dust
• Occasionally required to work from heights
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
