The Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all resources in the field for the successful execution of company roofing projects.  We are a 25-year-old roofing construction company looking for someone who desires to have input in our expansion and play an integral role in our growth strategy.

The Superintendent will supervise multiple project field teams of skilled foreman and lead roofers and laborers in the residential and commercial sector.

Job Responsibilities includes (but may not be limited to):

• Coordinate, plan and supervise foreman, multiple crew leads, and subcontractors (when applicable) to execute both commercial and residential roofing projects
• Coordinate job site logistics, including ordering materials and scheduling deliveries
• Foster the development of foreman to grow into future managerial or supervisory roles
• Act as the primary representative when interfacing with clients and neighbors during construction phase of each project
• Coordinate budgets, materials costs, change orders with office staff to ensure projects are completed on budget and on time
• Manage and forecast maintenance and supply chain for equipment, materials, small tools, consumables and equipment rentals.
• Develop site utilization plan and establish crew size for each job.
• Oversee implementation and completion of each project per spec and contract terms.
• Participate in pre-construction budgeting, scheduling and value engineering discussions.
• Implement and understand project administration requirements in conjunction with the project manager.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, ability to determine work method alternative.
• Maintain relationships with clients, inspectors, union representatives, subcontractors, etc.
• Adhere and maintain RK Roofing’s perfect safety record
• Oversee job site compliance with safety protocols
• Provide input to management about how to improve overall company’s processes and procedures
• Other duties upon request.

Qualifications:

• Superintendent experience (not necessarily in the roofing trade)
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Effective participation in team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required.
• Strong emphasis on fostering a safe and welcoming working environment for all employees.

Working Conditions:

• Duties require physical abilities such as safely walking on roofs, climbing ladders, general construction demands.
• Driver’s License required.
• Some lifting may be required (30lbs or less)

Compensation commensurate with experience.  401K, medical, etc. available.
