The Gold Bar Mine is located 35 miles northwest of Eureka, Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1988 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. McEwen Mining Inc. acquired the property and began active exploration in 2011. 


Job Description

This Administrative position will work out of the McEwen Mining Office located in Elko, Nevada. Primary responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant will be to provide office support to all departments in Elko and at the Gold Bar Site which include: Finance, Human Resources, Project Managers, Project Teams, Mine Engineering, Mine Operations, Safety and Health as well as Contract Partners.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide professional administrative support and excellent customer service to all office staff and external personnel.
  • Reception daily duties: answer, direct, and accurately record phone calls; greet visitors, open/distribute mail, and other general clerical duties.
  • Maintain and order all the office supplies and inventory
  • Ensure all requests and inquiries are met
  • Generate, process and track all tasks though completion
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems
  • Perform data entry as necessary
  • Arranges and schedules appointments, travel and meetings as requested
  • Researches, compiles and prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of reports
  • Support Field Techs as needed including timecards and schedule
  • Support team members and company on special projects/requests
  • Prepare, Reconcile, and track expense reports, credit card statements, and invoices
  • Answers multi-lined telephone system and directs calls to appropriate individuals or departments and relay messages
  • Keeps a record of staff members
  • Maintain general office cleanliness and organization, including both work and leisure areas
  • Assists with miscellaneous administrative functions for all departments
  • May travel to the Gold Bar Site for projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
