The Gold Bar Mine is located 35 miles northwest of Eureka, Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1988 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. McEwen Mining Inc. acquired the property and began active exploration in 2011. The current project consists of an open pit mining operation delivering ore to a crushed heap leach with solution being processed through an ADR plant and refinery.

Primary responsibility is to provide office support to the EHS Department.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update EHS document management systems as well as mail and courier distribution (hard copy)
  • Conduct data entry
  • Maintain training records and the Convergence Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Scheduling arrangements for training/meeting
  • Assist with cost tracking and support to the department, including requisition creation and tracking
  • Collect EHS data and samples using a variety of instruments and equipment to gather data and conduct monitoring necessary for EHS compliance reporting
  • Ensure accurate documentation of sample collection and data
  • Conduct routine inspections required by various EHS compliance programs
  • Manage analytical data within the EHS analytical database (Monitor Pro)
  • Provide a good first impression of professionalism and friendly, helpful, well organized service to anyone contacting our department
  • Office setup, supply ordering and upkeep
  • Schedule maintenance for departmental equipment
  • Assists with miscellaneous administrative functions for EHS department
  • Generate memos and reports when appropriate
  • Site Metrics – KPI tracking, daily/weekly Reporting
  • Meeting agendas/minutes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 1-3 years of previous experience in an office environment
